What to Pack: European Travels

Someday I will be moving to London. My heart is totally already there. And the very first thing I would do upon arrival is spend a day shopping Harrods. Lucky for me, I can get a little taste of what that might be like at their online store. I spent the most glorious afternoon perusing viral racks of beautiful designer clothing. My absolute favorite is the gorgeous Alexander Mcqueen jacquard shift dress. I could see myself art-gazing in it at the Louvre. The butterfly coat would be marvelous for lunching in Florence. And the powder blue jacket? Complete perfection for a tour of Buckingham palace (with hopes to catch a view of the queen of course). Basically, my afternoon of shopping Harrod’s website turned into curating my European Travel packing wishlist. Now if someone could just pass this along to my fairy godmother thank you.

Holiday Prep Days: What to Wear

I’ve put together the perfect outfit for the days before the Holiday. You know my mantra by now… Looking chic is definitely a priority. But there are definitely times when comfort really can’t be forfeited in the name of chic. So we find a way to mesh the two together. It’s especially true on a day where you could be running to Target to grab a cooking thermometer, sitting pretzel-legged wrapping gifts (and looking for the darn tape that somehow ended up on the other side of the room under two gifts and a heap of wrapping paper), while chatting with relatives and maybe singing a Christmas carol or two. So we have super comfy jeans, non-heeled boots, and a cozy warm sweater. The blazer, necklace, and belt add a touch of style to the ensemble. The entire look is from the up and coming Boutik Collections. And the best part is, Boutik Collections is offering all Ruby Girl readers 20% off with code RUBY now through Christmas!

Homecoming Dance :: What to Wear

Oh my goodness, I LIVED for homecoming week in high school! We had a spirit week which culminated to a big football game, which we won every year I’m pretty sure. My friends and I cheered like nobody’s business on Friday night and got all dolled up together on Saturday night for the big dance. There was dinner with the dates and then breaking it down on the dance floor all night long. So much fun! With school starting for you high schoolers, homecoming is not far behind! So have you thought about your dress yet?

With online shopping being what it is now, the possibilities are truly limitless! I did a little web surfing and came across some beauties, hoping I can live vicariously through you!
