It was love at first sight with this dress. The polka dots are delightfully whimsical on the loose-fitting tulle, and the sixties mod silhouette of course struck my little fancy. As soon as I saw it, I was dreaming up ways to style it. And of course, I let loose my feminine romantic side. Glitter pumps, rhinestone headband, gold arm party… these things simply must be.
This is what I wore to Macy’s Glamorama, a local fashion and music event raising funds and awareness for Children’s Cancer Research. It was a jam-packed show, with collections presented by a quality line-up including Marc Jacobs and Jean Paul Galtier. I was impressed by the music and dance choreography interlaced throughout the evening, including the 8-year-old child model breakdancing at the after-party… (what? how do these kids get their skills?) The Minneapolis fashion scene is alive and well in August. And I am so ready for MSP-Fashion Week, in less than 2 months!

Aside from the dramatic Mad Hatter fluffball head toppers, this was one of my favorite mini-collections. These Marc Jacobs pieces are stunning. I love the exquisite fabrics and gorgeous silhouettes.
I also loved these ready-to-take-over-the-world powersuits and dresses by Donna Karan. Fierce, but with fabric crisply folded and ruched in a way that maintains femininity in these pieces.
You look really chic and feminine…love this dress so much!

This dress is gorgeous! I'm definitely a fan of the 60's mod shift style. And I love how you kept the whole look neutral and monochromatic. So pretty!
