How to get Impossibly Shiny Hair

You know those hair commercials where the impossibly gorgeous actress walks down the street tossing her impossibly shiny hair from side to side, smiling an impossibly white smile as all eyes are locked on her and all guys’ jaws are dropped? As impossible as the whole scenario probably kind of is, the one thing I honestly believe we can achieve is the shiny hair! Truly. With the right products and the right regimen, even the right vitamins/diet, it can be a reality. Stop. The. WORLD. Right? I’m going to share 2 products today that will get us all on our way to that “impossibly” shiny hair.

The Hair Food Mask by Clairol is jam-packed with nutrients to restore health to sun & otherwise life-damaged hair. Ahem… hot iron styling tools that we all know and love. I’m not really willing to give up on my curling iron and straightener or my dream of impossibly shiny hair so this is product is a worthy instrument in the cause.

The Fekkai Soleil Hair Mist goes on daily to protect our luscious locks (or at least locks on their way to being luscious) from further sun damage. It can be reapplied as needed to tame flyaways and frizzies. Because blech. Those are the worst! So hey, I’m game!

Another couple of tips for getting impossibly shiny hair…

-Find a salon in your area that does Emergency hair treatments. In Minneapolis, Evolution Salon has one that is mega killer. Do this seasonally.
-Get lots of protein, zinc, iron, & antioxidants in your diet.
-Biotin, biotin, biotin! I take Seabuck Wonders Ultimate Hair, Skin, & Nails Omega-7 & Biotin daily.
-Don’t brush your hair when it’s wet.
-Avoid blow drying your hair if possible!
-Wash your hair 2-3 times a week, not daily. When you shampoo, only shampoo close to your scalp.
-Eat salmon, spinach, Greek yogurt, eggs, cinnamon, & sweet potatoes. They each have ingredients that activate different aspects of hair health.
-Regularly massage your scalp.
-To dry wet hair, avoid rubbing your hair with a towel, instead, wrap it up in the towel and go. Gentle, gentle!
